About MeI am a Historian, activist, and world-citizen with a passion for storytelling. A graduate of CUNY- John Jay College and an advocate for social justice, I work on promoting racial and economic justice through web development and community engagement. My mission in life is to continue to inspire others through the process of decolonization of self and the act of reciprocity.
As the child of Afro-Caribbean immigrants, I had to grow up quickly. This instilled in me a strong foundation, rooted in taking risks and not being afraid of failure. As an active participant of my community, I joined the U.S. Army after graduating from high school, and served for 10 years, including a deployment to Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom. It is these experiences that have shaped my love for helping others and solving problems.
As a Software Engineer, my track record as a solutions-driven and efficient problem solver will allow me to make meaningful strides for inclusion and diversity to help make the world a better place. In my own words, “I am my Ancestors’ wildest dreams!”
